    A Bossa Elétrica
In the most southern part of Sweden you’ll find a collective of musicians and music connoisseurs that love all aspects of the Brazilian music heritage. Together they call themselves A Bossa Eletrica and are one of Sweden’s most hardworking (and best) live outfits.

Together with the lovely Miriam Aida as superb vocalist and front figure you will find that this 6-piece band is not your average dodgy bossanova act. Their music is recorded 100% live and with deep respect for the original sounds that were hailing from Rio, Sao Paulo and Salvador in the 60’s and 70’s. We would like to think that they could be described as the missing link between new acts like Da Lata and classic artists like Djavan, Joyce, Marcos Valle or Jorge Ben.

Their music have already been played on dance floors all over the world, much thanks to their massive cover version of Airto Moreira’s samba smash Tombo In 7/4. A track that was played by all the major jazz and latin inspired Djs across the globe and helped spread the word about A Bossa Eletrica. On their debut album “Electrificação”, which was released on Raw Fusion in 2004 you’ll find mostly self-written compositions but also one or two covers. The album stretches from up-tempo samba dancers, melodic afro-Brazilian songs, orchestral bossanovas but also funkier theories. But just like all great albums it’s always the actual song that remains in focus.

Expect a truly electric experience when the swinging rhythms from A Bossa Eletrica are enjoyed either live or on your record player.
