Perceptual (2000) is the debut album by Brian Blade Fellowship, a jazz ensemble led by the acclaimed drummer and composer Brian Blade. Known for his work with some of the most prominent figures in jazz, such as Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock, Brian Blade’s Fellowship project is an expression of his own artistic vision, blending his jazz roots with elements of spiritual jazz, rock, and folk music. The album stands out for its emotionally charged music and its unique blend of genres, drawing heavily from Blade's background in both jazz and contemporary music.
