This is the first official release of 3 Live in Concert. Recorded in 1988, the sound quality of this live recording is fantastic. Hearing all the tunes from the1988 studio album in this live setting is a real treat. It brings back memories of seeing this show later in the tour. I had forgotten just how good this band truly was! Emerson Berry and Palmer were spot on in this recording - full of energy! Of course, along with the material from the 3 studio album - with Emerson and Palmer being two thirds of the band, there are some ELP tunes on here as well - and they are done spectacularly! The live versions of the 3 material is awesome - a lot of surprises and Keith Emerson's keyboard arsenal extremely powerful - (this is not the old GX-1 sound) - some of the bass lines rattle my sound system! Palmer's drum solo is fantastic as usual - even using a version of his "synthesized percussion". Robert Berry is a musician's musician! This double CD set is highly recommended!By tarkus1, amazon
