Kendrick first gained attention after the release of his fourth mixtape "Overly Dedicated" (2010). And in 2011 his independent album "Section.80", released exclusively via Itunes, instantly ranked as one of the best digital hip-hop releases of the year.
Early in his career, before releasing her debut album, Lamar worked with popular artists like Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Wiz Khalifa, Game, Drake, Busta Rhymes, Hopsin, E-40, Warren G, Bun B, Tech N9ne and Lil Wayne.
