The founding members of 10lec6 (lead singer Emy and bass player Simon) met in art school. Sharing influences of post-punk and hardcore, the group recruited Jess, a DJ in his own right, as a drummer. Rounding out the group is Gazelle, who used to play in several hardcore groups with Simon. The group's first EP, Join Us, was a bold debut fusing post-punk influences with new wave sensibilities and was licensed to Troubleman Unlimited after much critical acclaim throughout Europe. A follow-up album, Counseling Orientation, is slated for a fall 2006 release on Troubleman Unlimited.
