The Ponches / Deans - It Came From The Cold! (Split CD, 2009)
FLAC+CUE+LOG or MP3 CBR 320 kbps | 23:08 min | 157 or 52 MB
Fine Split CD split from Italian 'Making Believe' label. Now it's Ponches and Deans's turn. Two bands full of energy, always Ramones' style, always ready to fill your ears with their music!
What a fucking great value here, two awesome pop punk bands on one disk! Here’s a split between Ponches and Deans, each band gets six songs to impress the hell out of you, and I say they do that and more. Both bands are great but I think the Deans win this split by just a little bit. Every song on here is a top quality pop punk song; you’re selling yourself short if you don’t get in on this one Thanks to Making Believe Records for putting this out!Tracklist:
‘President’ We’ve got almost an 80′s punk feel with some Ramones-core to form the fusion that’s this sweet song.
‘El Burrito’ A little more bubble gum pop punk for this one but it’s still got a hard punk rock edge on it.
‘Ramirez The Frog’ A sweet guitar riff opens this song up and doesn’t leave us hanging. From there we get a real fucking catchy pop punk tune.
‘I Love You Psychopath’ Maybe the catchiest song on this CD so far, it’ll get stuck in your head real easy.
‘State Catatony’ This song is a little underwhelming. It comes across a little flat, but it’s still a pretty decent pop tune.
‘Secret 08′ The last of the Ponches tunes is the best one on here. This song blows away every other song up to this point. Perfect pop punk bliss.
‘Richie Hero’ After the poppy songs we just heard this one comes off a little snotty. But there’s plenty of room for snotty pop punk in my world.
‘Greetings From Costa-est’ This is another pretty awesome song, lyrically it reminds me of a Monkees song, which is a great thing!
’100 Miles’ This one reminds me of a Prozacs or Apers song, or something that would come out of that vein of pop punk, totally digging it.
‘Attakk’ They really speed things up for this one, add some badss guitar work. They really bring the punk side out in pop punk for this.
‘Too Tough To Die’ This sounds like a classic punk rock song, nothing too fancy here but that means there’s nothing bad about it either.
‘Commie’ Again sort of like the previous song, a pretty simple punk rock tune to end things, we’ve even got a little bass solo.~ Review described from unclecritic.com
