The Manges are an Italian pop punk band who formed in La Spezia in 1993. The Manges "Go Down" is the CD that is sure to save punk rock. Manges tornano all'attacco con queste nuove 15 canzoni di puro punk rock ramonero, quadrato e diretto, effettuando una buona combinazione tra materiale più ruvido ed altro più melodico in perfetta sintonia con lo stile espresso negli ultimi due lavori della band (l'album "The Manges'r' good enough" e lo split "Acid Beaters" con i Queers). Tematiche con toni a volte un pò "scuri", un pò Ramones anni '80, concretezza e 4/4 a volte velocizzato ed a volte un pò meno. Tre cover rimpolpano l'album: "Revenge of The Nerds", tratta dall'omonimo film, "When Heroes Go Down" di Suzanne Vega ed "Emergency", ottimo tributo al grandissimo Dee Dee Ramone. In "Wonder Wheel" ospite alla voce Mayo dei La Crisi, che con la sua voce dà un'impronta molto Motorheadiana alla canzone. In sostanza, i nostri non sbagliano un colpo (e questo da sempre), sono sicuramente uno dei migliori gruppi al mondo a fare ciò che fà e dal 1993 con super attitudine continuano a colpire duro e a spaccare il sedere.



The Manges are one of the most important and respected European punk rock bands. Started in 1993, they released 2 albums ("Rocket To You" and "The Manges `R` Good Enough"), 2 split cds (with McRackins and The Queers) and several 7" singles for labels from all over the world. The Manges have played more than 200 concerts, mostly across Italy, and have toured the UK twice (1998/2000), the USA and Canada twice (2000/2002) and Central Europe twice (2001/2004), plus other shows in Germany and Netherlands. THE MANGES GO DOWN is their brand new and best album so far: 14 tracks including covers of Suzanne Vega, Dee Dee King Ramone and Rubinoos. Produced by Phillip Hill (Teen Idols, Queers) and mastered by Mass Giorgini (Screeching Weasel, Squirtgun), this album will make Ramones, Screeching Weasel and Hard-Ons fans very happy.
