has been described as "among the finest pianists in the world" (Baltimore Sun). Following his immigration to the United States from Cuba, he made his concert debut at age 10 with the New Orleans Philharmonic. Mr. Rodriguez' international career was launched in 1981, when he was awarded the silver medal at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, and he continues to perform with leading orchestras and in recital throughout the world. His recordings, all on ELAN, have been praised for their "blazing conviction, tremendous technical strength, unswerving concentration and galvanic excitement" (American Record Guide).
