Striker knows where its roots lie. Its branches hang from the same retro-trad metal family tree as Enforcer, White Wizzard, Skull Fist, Wolf and Steelwing. Their influences are heavily steeped in NWOBHM played by bands such as Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Saxon, early Def Leppard and Tygers of Pan Tang. Striker also has traces of American metal played by Riot, Racer X and Vicious Rumors.
Striker’s game plan is catchy melodies, dual-lead guitar harmonies, strong riffs, a pounding rhythm section and falsetto vocals. As an homage to the ’80s hair metal craze, the cheese factor is slightly present on Armed To The Teeth - all the way down to their song titles, lyrics, anthemic odes and highly-polished airbrushed album cover.
