Still today, no-one really knows who Leonid Polovinkin was. He was however a tireless animator of the Russian avant-garde of the Twenties. He then became the official musician and the companion in life of the great Natalia Sats, who founded the renown musical Theater for Youth of Moscow - the same that ordered Peter and the wolf to Prokofiev. He composed numerous operas for children, ballets, film music, etc. But after Stalin's reign, the war and his premature death, he was forgotten. Completely. It is thus a real discovery that Anait Karpova, soloist at the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and direct descendant of Natalia Stats, proposes us. The extraordinary colour's range of Polovinkin, from innocent joy until dark anxiety, will charm all piano and Russian music lovers.Tracks:
