Kumm - A Mysterious Place Called Somewhere (2014)

After 16 years at the forefront of the Romanian rock music scene, art rock/alternative masterminds Kumm are back in top shape with their sixth studio record, enticingly titled "A Mysterious Place Called Somewhere". More than 4 years after their previous record, Kumm continue to explore and cross the boundaries of established music genres. The band avoids being pigeonholed into a particular style; you could think of "A Mysterious Place Called Somewhere" as somewhat more progressive in terms of approach, hinting towards the band's early days (together with Eugen doing lead vocals once again). Prefaced by the lead single "One In a Million", the record is teeming with influences ranging from britpop to blues, alternative rock and post punk, while the distorted guitar feels quite grungy at certain times.
