Carlos Gardel - Selection (1995)
Carlos Gardel is undoubtely the most prominent figure in the history of tango. He grew up in the Abasto neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, He attended Pio IX Industrial high-school located in the Almagro neighbourhood. He died in 1935 in an airplane crash in Medellín, Colombia at the height of his career, becoming an archetypal tragic hero still mourned throughout Latin America. The 2 cd's presentred here contain all the essential tangos that made him a legend. A must for all those who would like to get familiar with the work of the best tango singer in history..cd1:
