American composer Ross Lee Finney's Pilgrim Psalms is a collection of contemporary settings of inspirational hymns carried by the pilgrims to Plymouth in 1620. Finney considered these melodies "among America’s greatest folk heritage, influencing sacred singing through each singing." This recording features Andrew Clark leading the Harvard Glee Club, the Radcliffe Choral Society and soloists on the Pilgrim Psalms, while the Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum opens and closes the programme with two companion pieces by Finney.

Founded in 2003 by Austrian recorder player Michael Oman, the Austrian Baroque Company is one of the country's leading early music ensembles. In its founding year, the ensemble recorded instrumental music from the 16th to 18th centuries from the Mediterranean region for the ORF label. On the occasion of the ensemble's 20th anniversary, the highly acclaimed recording will be re-released on FRA BERNARDO.

Gustav Auzinger studied sacred music and pedagogy of music and organ under the guidance of Michael Radulescu at the Superior School of music in Vienna. He carries out several activities in his field: he is organist of the historical organs of the church of Santa Anna in Steinbruch and in the castle of Neuhaus, and he teaches organ at the Sacred Music Conservatory of Linz.

This album is a Rachmaninoff piano duo album by Miku Omine, who has made Rachmaninoff his life's work and whose performances and album are highly acclaimed, and Takako Takahashi, who won 5th place at the 12th International Chopin Piano Competition.
