In The Juniper Tree, an interrelationship between the ethereal and terrestrial seems to cloak the everpresent Icelandic landscape. The film, written and directed by Nietzchka Keene in 1986 and released in 1990, is disbelieving of binaries such as life and death, natural and supernatural, stillness and unrest. It is perhaps best known as the genesis point for Björk’s career as an actor, but in its compelling feminist retelling of the Brothers Grimm story of the same name it recasts tropes of witches and wicked stepmothers as women in tune with nature’s gifts and fighting for survival under the suspicious gaze of patriarchy. Throughout, the land dwarfs the characters, and a sense of studied quietude saturates even the tensest moments. Tenderness and terror intertwine as a web of familial bonds contract and unravel, the dead reappearing as visions and as birds.

Mount Analogue is a double‑album pilgrimage into René Daumal’s “symbolically authentic non‑Euclidean” world, conceived by Bill Laswell and P.ST as a musical counterpart to the writer’s cult novel. Daumal’s book, left incomplete at his death and breaking off mid‑sentence, follows a band of mountaineers seeking an invisible, unreachable peak on a hidden continent that can only be approached with obscure knowledge and altered perception. The record honours that premise by treating sound as a climbing route: a path that’s felt more than mapped, where every timbral shift or unexpected entrance is another ledge, another crevasse, another glimpse of an impossible summit.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Kraftwerk’s iconic album “Autobahn”, Parlophone Records are excited to announce the release of a new 7” single version of the title track, featuring new 2024 edits of both the A. and B. side, pressed on black vinyl and released digitally (Stereo and Dolby Atmos versions). Following this on 7 March are 50th Anniversary Editions of the album on Blu-ray and Picture Disc LP. The Dolby Atmos mix was created in 2024 at the band’s Kling Klang studio, utilising the original 16-track master tapes.

Former meteorology student Jeff Greinke treats sound the way weather treats a landscape: slowly, atmospherically, in layers. On his new ambient electronic album, he turns that same sensibility toward restraint. Greinke works with fewer elements, more space, and a sharper focus on mood over motion – music built to be felt as much as heard. Tones are allowed to hang in open air. Melodic gestures dissolve before they resolve.

Composed in 2022 while Sakamoto was working on his final album '12', '12 Conversations' is a lengthy anthology of experiments - "sounds expanded, altered, recontextualized," according to Carsten Nicolai - that works as a heartfelt supplement to the duo's iconic run of records.

Everyone' was recorded in Tokyo, Japan over two days in late September 2025. The album musically chronicles Greg Foat's first tour of Japan. The album was commissioned by Tokyo-based clothing label 'Everyone' and is a fantastic mix of ambient, jazz, and electronic music. Each track celebrates a special memory of the tour, from the opener 'Shirahama Beach' to the wonderful FFKT festival to the playful 'Lake Haruna Boat Ride'. The album also features Tokyo-based jazz musicians Kensuke Miyaki on baritone saxophone and bass clarinet and Yoshihiro Kaneko on double bass.

Born in 1968, Arve Henriksen studied at the Trondheim Conservatory from 1987-1991, and has worked as a freelance musician since 1989.
