Amanda is now releasing her third album on the Ladybird label. Amanda once again invites the listener to her well-turned and swinging melodic jazz in Swedish, but the listener can also sense a sour self-distance in the middle of the warm and everyday considerations. Amanda Ginsburg sings about the simple in everyday life, the seemingly banal stories that make up a large part of all of our lives, and she does it with gusto.

"Waterloo" is the first single from the Swedish pop group ABBA's second album of the same name, and their first under the Atlantic label in the US. This was also the first single to be credited to the group performing under the name ABBA. The title and lyrics reference the 1815 Battle of Waterloo, and use it as a metaphor for a romantic relationship. The Swedish version of the single was backed with the Swedish version of "Honey, Honey", while the English version featured "Watch Out" on the B-side.

In a little over a month, the album Big Bang pågår will be released, a close collaboration between poet Bob Hansson and jazz trio Backlura, temporarily reinforced by pianist Cecilia Persson and woodwind player Nils Berg.

With two critically acclaimed albums under their belt and backing from the likes of Tyler The Creator, many sold out tours and and an organic growth and word of mouth build up on a global level in just two years, they are gearing up to release their third album "Orion" in February 2024.

Musician Isaac Dennholt is a talented performer of the blues musical style, characterized by expressive “microtonal” intonations (blue notes), a three-line textual stanza of the form.

Footprint Records are happy to announce the release of the album Transfiguration, performed by one of Sweden’s most prominent choirs: Lunds Vokalensemble. The present album features some of the Swedish choral classics, such as Gösta Nystroem’s Three Sea Visions, Sven-Erik Bäck’s Transfiguration and Sven-David Sandström’s Hear My Prayer. The choir commissions new works on a regular basis, two of which are Jacob Mühlrad’s Dreams and Linda Alexandersson’s April och tystnad (April and Silence), and both are featured on this album along with several magnificent choral pieces. The choir’s hallmark is a certain pure, transparent, and homogenous tonal quality developed in the day of Ingemar Månsson (1929–2022).

The legendary rock band Jerusalem from Sweden will release their tenth studio album ‘Stygn’ (‘Stitches’) before Christmas. First, the album will be released in Swedish, but an English version is also planned later.

For many years, Louise Hoffsten and her father Gunnar used to play at Stadsmissionen every Christmas, but when they began to withdraw, Jimmy Uller was asked to come and play, and since then it has been rolling on.

Pianist Emilie Adolfsson brings together a band consisting of Johanna Grüssner (vocal), Esko Grundström (double bass), Andreas Nyberg (violin) and Thomas Törnroos (drums) for Över bygden, a collection of Finnish-Swedish classics in new arrangements!

Göteborgs Ungdomskör is definitely one of Sweden’s most prominent Youth Choirs. The choir is conducted by its founder, Anne Johansson, a highly distinguished and multiple times honoured teacher for children in music and singing. The album contains 21 songs devoted to Spring, Summer and Love. Here are most traditional “Spring Songs” from Sweden and the UK along with Stenhammar’s I seraillets have, Henry Purcell’s In These Delightful Pleasant Groves and the traditional American song Shenandoah. The choir sings a unique choral version of Finneas Baird O’Connell’s Ocean Eyes and the newly composed Änglasång (Angels’ Choir) by Stefan Andersson.

A portrait of Gothenburg in gouache is painted based on nostalgic postcards and ideas about a city. Commissioned by and in good collaboration with Axel Mårdsjö's compositions and interpretations of the same city.

This album is an extraordinary example of how music from two continents can merge into a noble work where concepts of cross-continental understanding make sense to everyone on both sides. MILTON IN SWEDISH is a breathtakingly beautiful cross-cultural love child.
