On A Walk in the Shadow Garden, as on previous albums throughout his career, Spotted Peccary Music artist Rudy Adrian paints sylvan scenes with sound. A percussive trilling on “Dawn Redwood” could be the hammering of a woodpecker’s beak. Glittering chimes evoke light through tangled branches on the track “Hemlock Grove.” Such is the music of nature to Adrian, where these twin passions of a life upon the Earth have been forever forged.

Windscale is ambient post-rock project Last Days' sixth album. The album focuses on Britain's most significant nuclear disaster in 1957 at the Windscale nuclear plant. Each work on Windscale mirrors the mood of critical moments in the struggling reactor's timeline. From the hopeful promises of free energy to nuclear fire and its aftermath. Through his unique brand of aural storytelling, Last Days experiments in a way that reinforces the retro-futuristic nature of atomic power, showing melancholic empathy for those who experienced the accident firsthand.

This is some of the music composed for the Laserium, a sound to light extravagance that I have been working on over the last year. The Laserium is a method of using sound to drive lasers that are refracted or reflected to corresponding individual voices in the music. It's all very psychedelic but without a drug. Very strange.

London-based artist and musician Wil Bolton, known for several fine release of predominantly sound-based artworks with eye and vision, this time joins up with Joseph Auer ( born in the USA. educated at the UK) for a intruiging and fascinating set of electronic minimalism, driven by melodic loops and sequences floating on a bed of droning ambient. ‘Meridian’ is a fusion of two sessions and two musical impressions. Both sessions were recorded at Wil’s London studio in 2017, but also took inspiration from Joseph’s time spent in both Tokyo and Barcelona.

Today we have a new edition in our digital-only series, eRecords! ‘sirena’ is a two track EP from anonymous artist Glåsbird, a deep dive into Pacific Ocean seascapes, with wondrous, sleepy Ambient drones.

Glåsbird is an anonymous artist, active since 2018 and with releases to date appearing exclusively on Whitelabrecs, as part of a series called A Sonic Expedition. With each edition in the collection, the artist concentrates on a different geographic location. The project emerged somewhere inside the Arctic Circle, descending to Greenland, moving onto Svalbard and then the Norwegian Fjords before most recently, on the Russian owned peninsulas Novaya Zemlya. The music of Glåsbird ranges from electro-acoustic Ambient to Modern Classical, with this artist keen on producing a range of experiments to show their full range of ideas and techniques.

It's unusual for an album to be conceived and captured in a single week, with every song included in the exact same order in which they were created. But that's exactly what happened when East Forest and Peter Broderick gathered in a small house in the west of Ireland to write and record music together in April 2022.

Rooted in jazz, but winding up at alternative rock or avant pop, it’s in the lineage of legendary boundary-testers Stereolab and Talking Heads.

Niklas Paschburg's third album Panta Rhei arrives via 7K! on March 17th, 2023. The title and the music are inspired by Heraclitus's Greek philosophy that "everything flows" and finds the Hamburg-born artist exploring an unrestricted world of electronic and post-classical music drawn from deep within himself, also accompanied by vocalists Kaktus Einarsson, luìsa, Bianca Steck.

M83 announces the details of his new forthcoming full-length album, FANTASY, that will see release on March 17th. In addition to this news, M83 has shared the sweeping, transformative first cut “Oceans Niagara”. Accompanying the track is a video directed by his long-time creative collaborator, filmmaker (Knife + Heart, You And The Night) and brother Yann Gonzalez.
