Superstar violinist Anne Akiko Meyers’ imagination and ingenuity knows no bounds. Her idea to persuade leading living composer Morten Lauridsen to transform his choral masterpiece, O Magnum Mysterium, into a work for violin and choir is a masterstroke. Teaming up with conductor Grant Gershon – who first collaborated with Anne as chamber musicians over 40 years ago – and the Los Angeles Master Chorale, for whom Lauridsen was their first Composer in Residence, Anne rounds out this digital EP with three other arrangements for violin and chorus of ever-popular works by J. S. Bach. The result is gold dust for the holiday season.

Half Speed ReMasters HiRes Re-Issue: A Bigger Bang is the 22nd British and 24th American studio album by the Rolling Stones, released on Virgin Records in September 2005. A Bigger Bang is an ambitious, wide-ranging collection of hard-hitting, high-powered rock and blues songs. Running a full sixteen tracks, it is the band's longest new album since 1972's Exile on Main Street. Key cuts include 'Streets Of Love', 'Rough Justice' and 'Back Of My Hand', a raw, rough-edged new song in the classic Rolling Stones blues style. A Bigger Bang was produced by Don Was and The Glimmer Twins.

Miguel Atwood-Ferguson—the Los Angeles musician and composer best known for his work with Brainfeeder artists like Flying Lotus, Thundercat, and Kamasi Washington—has announced his debut solo album. Les Jardins Mystiques Vol. 1 is out November 10 via Brainfeeder. The collection is a three-disc set with 52 songs across three and a half hours.

Legacy Recordings will release the latest of the CAKE reissues, Pressure Chief, on vinyl. Celebrating it's 20th anniversary this year, the album had key tracks like "Wheels" and the ever popular "No Phone." Outside of being included in a limited-edition Record Store Day box set this album has never been available on vinyl as a standalone item. Pressure Chief is the fifth studio album by alternative rock band CAKE. Released in 2004, this album showcases the band's unique fusion of different musical styles including country, pop, and rock. With track highlights like "Wheels" and "No Phone," CAKE further solidifies their presence in the music industry through their creativity and storytelling.

I discovered Costel Nitescu in 2006 at a guitar festival in Patrimonio, Corsica. I’d never heard of him before, but when he took the stage with a different band after my trio’s set, I enjoyed his playing immediately. In the up-tempo numbers, he displayed stunning virtuosity and an irrepressible joy. And in slow pieces, his sensitive improvisations and great tone were equally impressive.

Laura Marti's new album "Africa - Tribute to Lars Danielsson" is a beautiful homage to the legendary European jazz musician. Recorded in Germany's Bauer Studios during the intense conflict in Ukraine, the album is a testament to the importance of supporting Ukrainian music in European cultural life. The album features 9 tracks, including 8 of Danielsson's well-known compositions and a special track written by him for the project, called "For Laura," in which he also participated.

The foundation of Slow Contrast was created in the year 2000. With some time gone by to let this piece cure, the view of glorious billowing summer monsoon storm clouds on the horizon from the Timehouse window inspired the evolution of the piece as I merged with this space adding more colors, contrast and moods on these last days of July 2023. The deeper contrast from over time are reveled… Cobalt and Heat Index #3 were created over the the last few days of July 2023 in prep for the Aug 1 Ambient lounge.

"Omen" is a song by Orbital, released as a single in the UK on 11 September 1990. It is the follow-up to their debut single "Chime". Other tracks on the single are the Deeper remix "2 Deep" and "Open Mind".

According to German theological tradition, which Bach knew very well, the alto voice was the very symbol of the Holy Ghost. Bach's three solo cantatas for alto demand enormous vocal virtuosity. Their extraordinary musical variety embraces sublime consolatory lullabies, a faithful echo of an organ concerto and the dramatic qualities of an oratorio. Andreas Scholl is the featured soloist in this reissue, backed by Philippe Herreweghe and the Collegium Vocale Gent.

Frank Zappa’s epic 1975 release One Size Fits All celebrates its 50th Anniversary with yet another jam-packed mul-disc box set with 75% unreleased material. O cial Zappa release #131 contains four CDs that feature the 2012 main album remaster by legend Bob Ludwig along with a disc and a half of studio ou akes, work mixes and relevant Vault nuggets. A complete live show from Ro erdam, Netherlands ’74 is also included with bonus live tracks from the same legendary European tour. The live line-up consisted of the classic 6-piece band featuring George Duke and Ruth Underwood. Ruth also contributed new liner notes for the package along with historical essays by David Fricke and “Vaultmeister” Joe Travers. The 50th anniversary booklet also contains newly revealed photos by Sam Emerson accompanying the bespoke liner notes.
