The title of the album is a combination of French and Italian and can be translated into Japanese as "The Gentle 20th Century. All of the pieces were composed in the 20th century and were selected from Caruso's personal favorites. The works are not avant-garde music, but are full of Italian songs, and all of them are fine pieces that elaborate on contemporary compositional techniques. Many world premiere recordings are also included, making this a disc that can be enjoyed for its planning and recording quality. Vincenzo Caruso studied piano, choral conducting, and composition at the Naples Conservatory. He has served as choral conductor at the Opera di San Carlo in Naples, where he has worked with Riccardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, Fabio Luisi, Juraj Valčuha, Nello Santi, Daniele Gatti, Dan Ettinger, and others. He is active as a choral conductor and choral pianist, but is also very active as a soloist and with artists of other genres.

This recording explores the late-Romantic flute repertoire through works by two Swiss composers: Joseph Lauber (1864–1952) and Othmar Schoeck (1886–1957). Lauber, born in Ruswil and trained in Zurich, Munich, and Paris, combined the influences of German Romanticism and French Impressionism, while remaining faithful to tonal music. A professor and conductor in Geneva, he composed several works for flute inspired by his friend, amateur flutist Paul Hagemann, known for his technical skill.

OMNI, comes from the Latin word omnis, meaning "all" or "universal." This perfectly reflects the spirit of the record—bringing together incredible guest musicians, blending genres, and creating a limitless musical experience.

To a session in the summer of 2019, Kalle brought a guitar arrangement of Witold Lutoslawski's "Melodie Ludowe" (Folk Melodies). Lutoslawski, one of the greatest European composers of the 20th century, wrote these songs shortly after World War II as "functional music" to support his family.

The music that unites the Indra Trio is characterized by simplicity, the search for an encounter with nature and the profound connection of sounds, their non-rationality. With traces of what we sometimes associate with classical music and European jazz, in which improvisation is a constant presence, the trio finds a common ground represented by the voice of their instruments, creating original compositions that define their organic and natural relationship with the music they wish to present.

"This album, dedicated to Léon Boëllmann, is the result of the “love at first sight” I had for his cello sonata back in my early twenties. We also recorded many unedited pieces from his chamber repertoire as result of a research taken at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France archives in early 2024: some songs for voice and piano, an untitled piece for cello and piano and a trio for soprano, cello and piano. We hope that this album will help to fill the void in the recording panorama of the chamber compositions of this peculiar French composer."

A total of ten original music tracks are included in "Atypical Airship”. They present ten otherworldly destinations, mixed with different memories and atmospheres. It is a blueprint of Jun Xiao's fantasies, dreams, experiences and emotions consolidated from four years of music creation. Build from his vast jazz knowledge, he shifted the focus away from traditional Jazz music. Instead, he pays more attention on nature and logic behind music composition. Through this album, he hopes to explore beyond the familiar musical system and framework, just like riding on an Atypical Airship.

Two of Norway’s most exciting progressive artists, Jordsjø and Breidablik, come together to celebrate their 10th anniversary in the music industry with an innovative split album titled Kontraster. The album contains two 20 minutes long tracks showing different perspectives and expressions of “contrasts”. Both tracks represent bold exploration of progressive rock's diverse soundscapes, paying homage to the genre's pioneering artists while carving new paths for the future.

Jordsjø is a duo from Oslo, Norway inspired by Scandinavian folklore via jazz to early British prog. Following in the tradition of some of the best Nordic rock from the last century, Jordsjø manages to meld progressive rock with fantastic melodies and a folkish twist.

Mastered By [LP Mastering] – Kevin Gray. Dexter Gordon experienced a career renaissance with his momentous comeback on Blue Note in the early 1960s which produced numerous all-time classic albums. In 1980, producer Michael Cuscuna dug into the vaults to compile Landslide, a collection released as part of the LT Series that was comprised of previously unreleased tracks that the legendary saxophonist had recorded for the label during three different sessions in 1961-62 with a varied cast of musicians including trumpeters Tommy Turrentine and Dave Burns; pianists Kenny Crew, Sir Charles Thompson, and Sonny Clark; bassists Paul Chambers, Al Lucas, and Ron Carter; and drummers Philly Joe Jones and Willie Bobo. The 7-song set is a showcase of Gordon’s hard-swinging improvisational creativity and brilliant balladry.

Brilliant playing: no wonder they are the finest wind orchestra in Britain. Energy of a different sort is present in A John Gay Suite by the much underrated Buxton Orr.

Five-disc Deluxe Box Set includes a new mix of the original album, 30 previously unreleased outtakes and alternate takes, a six-song 1971 BBC Radio John Peel Sunday concert, four BBC Radio session tracks, plus previously unreleased 50-minute DVD of Rory’s first-ever solo concert which was filmed in Paris for the “Pop Deux” television show.

Lou Reed’s 1989 album New York will be given its first remastering in a massive deluxe edition by Rhino, out September 25th.
