The highly anticipated 8th studio album from Maroon 5, Love Is Like. Featuring the percussive, jazz-chord daydream hit "Priceless" ft. "Cuban Soul-18 Kilates" is Cassiano's third studio album, released in 1976, and stands as a milestone in Brazilian soul music. It combines Brazilian rhythms with classic American soul elements, creating a unique fusion. Cassiano's smooth, soulful vocal style and the album’s larger-than-life arrangements, reminiscent of Tim Maia's sound, give it a rich, deep feel. Mind Games was meant to be a return to form for John Lennon, after an instantly dated protest album that felt didactic and cold. He seemed to be back on track with its opening Top 20 hit title song. But the rest of Mind Games could be a strangely ruminative and often mid-tempo, with a shaggy studio approach. Mind Games: The Ultimate Collection makes it clear who fans should blame: The producer. After three straight projects with co-producers Phil Spector and Yoko Ono, Lennon took over those duties. He clearly couldn't place enough distance between himself and the material to make the best choices for these songs. An outside voice might have encouraged him to continue work on some tracks, or to toss one or two aside.

The Flûte passion series: Claude Bolling continues at ATMA Classique. Flutist Nadia Labrie presents Picnic Suite for guitar, flute, and jazz piano trio by Claude Bolling (1930–2020), the iconoclastic French composer whose series of suites for flute has become emblematic of the meeting point between jazz and classical music.

Death By Unga Bunga returns with their hardest-hitting record yet, Raw Muscular Power, a 10-track exploration of fragile male ego and crumbling facades through wild, raw, and high-energy rock. Inspired by their performance at Norway’s Tons of Rock festival, the album boasts a "dumber and rawer" sound packed with catchy hooks and testosterone-fueled confusion. The band tackles themes of masculine insecurity, from office workers idealizing manual labor ("Raw Muscular Power") to early-30s existential dread ("I’m Really Old"). Guest appearances include Mike Krol on "Therapy" and Haley Shae of Sløtface on the Paul Stanley-tribute "Starchild." The album also features their first Norwegian-language track, "Ring meg hvis du trenger en venn" ("Call me if you need a friend"), offering a heartfelt message of support. With Raw Muscular Power, Death By Unga Bunga invites everyone to join the party, embracing imperfections and camaraderie through rock.

Resende’s concept of Fado Jazz is a perfect example of how jazz has become a global language for free musical expression – a concept which has been fundamental to ACT ever since its foundation over 30 years ago.

In Concert Volume Two is a live album recorded in 1973 by jazz trumpeter Freddie Hubbard pianist, Herbie Hancock and tenor saxophonist Stanley Turrentine. It was recorded in Chicago and Detroit for Creed Taylor's CTI label and features performances by Hubbard, Turrentine, Hancock, Eric Gale, Ron Carter and Jack DeJohnette.

JESUS ON THE MAINLINE is drawn from two 1971 concerts; April 14th, 1971 in Tacoma, Washington, and November 5th, 1971 at the Gaslight In New York, which would prove to be the final recording of the Delta Blues legend. The bottleneck guitarist was 67 years old when these tracks were recorded and his passion and conviction seem to have strengthened with the years. At this point in McDowell's career he had shifted to playing electric slide guitar. Accompanying McDowell's gruff voice, the guitar often seems to finish the singer's sentences for him; it's like listening to an old married couple.

Popular brass-led ensemble, Kolonel Djafaar, unveiled its second album, ‘Getaway’, their first for Batov Records, seamlessly blending Afrobeat, Ethio jazz, and psych rock, whilst showcasing the band's evolution over the past couple of years.

Country and gospel singer/songwriter Barbara Fairchild recorded her first single when she was just 15 years old. She secured a songwriting contract with MCA right out high school, but continued to perform. She soon had a recording contract with Columbia Nashville and delivered the single "Love Is a Gentle Thing" in 1969.

Amorosa, a multicultural musical band based in Brussels, is driven by the voice of Stéphanie Scultore who sings about love in French and Portuguese, drawing us into her poetry between the warmth of Brazilian rhythms and the elegance of jazz harmonies. As critical accolades streamed in for his innovative multi-media release DOCTONE, Haidu was on the verge of realizing another ambitious project: recording a trio album with one of the greatest bass and drum combinations in jazz: Billy Hart and Buster Williams, whose own remarkable collaboration began half a century ago.
