Tim Lin is a Taiwanese-American saxophonist currently living in New York. Lin has released four albums: 'Romance in Formosa' (2022), 'Empathy' (2023), 'Birdwatching' (2024), and 'Heartfelt' (2025). which was released by Sony Music Taiwan and recorded with musicians such as Dick Oatts, Rodney Green, Jeb Patton, and David Wong.

Hillai’s upcoming album, “Every Other Now,” is a collaboration with bassist and composer Ben Meigners, featuring notable names from the NYC music scene, including guitarist Steve Cardenas, drummer Eric McPherson, and percussionist Café Da Silva. The music draws from a broad sonic palette, aiming to forge a distinctive sound. It evokes themes of memory, nostalgia, reflection, and the fluid nature of how we perceive time. Over the past three years, Hillai has developed this music in NYC jazz venues like Ornithology, where she holds a residency. She gained recognition for her innovative approach, experimenting with various rhythms, harmonies, and ensemble configurations before finalizing her current group. Together, they have been performing an expanding repertoire of compositions co-written by Hillai and Ben, as well as compositions of other members of the band.

In this imaginative album, the ensemble Solomon’s Knot juxtaposes the Mass in F major BWV 233 with the secular Hunt Cantata BWV 208—framed and interwoven with movements from the First Brandenburg ConcertoBWV 1046. A rich musical arc between sacred grandeur and mythological Arcadia—performed with vibrant energy and historical awareness.

When Germany invaded Austria in 1938, Robert Fürstenthal, born in 1920, took the path of many Viennese Jews and fled to the United States, where he made his living as an accountant; the fact that he had written music in his youth was soon forgotten. Reconnection, after 35 years, with the woman who had been his first love rekindled both that flame and his urge to compose, and from then on songs and chamber music flowed from his pen, preserving the spirit of fin-de-siècle Vienna under the Californian sun – ‘When I compose, I am back in Vienna’, he explained. He died in November 2016, aged 96, knowing that his lyrical, eloquent music was at last attracting the attention of both musicians and microphones.

In this album I wish to present a program of both improvised music and repertoire. I have always had a great love and admiration for improvisation. Dating back to my early years as a young piano student, I enjoyed creating my own pieces, both on the fly and written down. My musical flame was only fanned further by consecutive summers spent playing keyboard and singing in a rock and roll summer camp as a middle and high schooler all the while singing in church and school choirs.

Joanna Domańska’s Szymanowski: Piano Works, Vol. 3 is a masterful exploration of the Polish composer’s early 20th-century repertoire, showcasing his blend of Romantic lyricism and modernist innovation. This volume features the dramatic "Piano Sonata No. 1 in C Minor, Op. 8", with its sweeping emotional contrasts, alongside the intricate "Prelude & Fugue in C-Sharp Minor" and the folk-infused "Variations on a Polish Folk Theme, Op. 10 ". Domańska’s performance balances technical precision with expressive depth, revealing Szymanowski’s unique voice—bridging Chopin’s poeticism and Scriabin’s harmonic daring.

A shared passion for experimentation and a creative engagement with musical tradition unites the composers and performers featured on this new GENUIN release. Violist Ionel Ungureanu (Principal Violist of the MDR Symphony Orchestra) and pianist-composer Sandro Nebieridze present exciting chamber works by Ernest Bloch and Jaromír Ludvík Hruška. The program includes two 20th-century viola sonatas that explore cultural legacy and global sonic landscapes. The album is further enriched by the performers' own composition, “Tunisian Rhapsody”, which forges a musical bridge between the works of Bloch and Hruška. The result is a multifaceted dialogue of distant echoes—interweaving, inspiring, and transporting the listener into new sonic worlds.
