Country and gospel singer/songwriter Barbara Fairchild recorded her first single when she was just 15 years old. She secured a songwriting contract with MCA right out high school, but continued to perform. She soon had a recording contract with Columbia Nashville and delivered the single "Love Is a Gentle Thing" in 1969.

Poulenc (1899-1963) was a pianist himself, and composed solo piano pieces the whole of his artistic life, from the early Trois mouvements perpétuels of 1918, when he was 19 years old, to the third Novelette and last Improvisation of 1959, both included on this CD, not long before his death. When he was 15, his mother had found for him the ideal and congenial piano teacher in the Catalan pianist Ricardo Viñes, who became his mentor and encouraged the young Poulenc in every way.

Clarinetist Michele Marelli channels the visionary spirit of Karlheinz Stockhausen in this electrifying album of works for clarinet, bass clarinet, and basset horn. Anything Is Possible is the latest collection of original material (and one affectionate cover) from North Carolina songwriter / vocalist / guitarist / producer Chris Stamey, an indie rock icon with a storied long and illustrious history that's encompassed co-founding seminal avant-pop band the dBs, playing with Alex Chilton in the 70s and more recently with Jody Stephens's Big Star Quintet, and recording with the all-star smart-pop outfit the Salt Collective. The album was produced by Stamey at Modern Recording in Chapel Hill, NC.
