This complete album features 16 tracks in total, four masterpieces from each of the four seasons albums "Sakura Sakura," "Summertime," "Autumn Leaves," and "Winter Wonderland," all compiled into one album!

With eight full-length albums over a two-decade run – “Got Back Home” will be their ninth – Bombadil has been one of the stalwarts of the 21st-century Triangle music scene, weathering lineup changes and overseas moves along the way. But with “How the Moon Got Back Home,” the band is taking its first steps into uncharted territory – a concept album, inspired by a short story by dancer/choreographer Madison Rivis.

Trying Not to Have a Thought isn’t just the first Algernon Cadwallader album since 2011’s Parrot Flies. It’s also the first with their original lineup—vocalist-bassist Peter Helmis, guitarists Joe Reinhart and Colin Mahony, and drummer Nick Tazza—since Algernon’s seminal 2008 debut, Some Kind of Cadwallader. Shortly after that album was recorded—and long before it was heralded as a lodestar for the 2010s “emo revival”—Tazza and Mahony departed the band. Despite their looming influence on the aforementioned “revival,” Algernon broke up in 2012 following the release of Parrot Flies and remained stubbornly deceased until their fiendishly anticipated resurrection in 2022.

„Foreigner“, released in 1973, was Cat Stevens’ fifth album with Island Records and represents the adventurous, risk- taking streak in his character. In a departure from his largely acoustic sound, the album saw Cat explore his love of R&B and soul music, as can be heard on the record’s main single, “The Hurt.” Recorded largely in Jamaica with an all-star band and the first record to be produced solely by Cat himself, Foreigner is deep, funky and rich with layered meaning.

Plans for this recital began as a comparison of the extent to which folk music influenced the music of Ralph Vaughan Williams and that of his contemporary and friend, Percy Grainger. The album begins with the first complete recording by a woman of Vaughan Williams's cycle of nine songs: Songs of Travel.

Why ‘Another Seven Symphonies’? Was it because WedgeView Music had previously released the album ‘The Seven Symphonies’, a classical tribute to Beach Boys music, or was it because so many others have made an attempt to cover Beatles music with a symphonic orchestra?

In June 1972, Miles Davis entered Columbia’s 52nd St. Studios to record music that was eventually released as On The Corner and part of Big Fun – stuff that was so far out and future perfect, it was its own genre.

The Brandenburgers in Bohemia (Czech: Braniboři v Čechách) is a three-act opera, the first by Bedřich Smetana. The Czech libretto was written by Karel Sabina, and is based on events from Czech history. The work was composed in the years 1862–1863. Smetana and Sabina wrote the opera at a time of great Czech patriotism, with the pending opening of a new theatre for production of Czech operas in Prague. The opera received its first performance at the Provisional Theatre (or the "Interim Theatre"), Prague, on 5 January 1866, and the first performance was a success. The first UK performances were in April 1978 by Hammersmith Municipal Opera. The first professional production in the UK, conducted by Vilém Tauský, was not until 1994.

Giovanni Antonini has been recording the complete symphonies of Joseph Haydn with the Alpha label for more than five years. Now the series is enriched by another monument by the Austrian composer: Die Schöpfung (The Creation), recorded in 2019 with the Bavarian Radio Chorus and his own orchestra, Il Giardino Armonico. This great oratorio was inspired by those of Handel, which Haydn heard performed by very large forces during his visits to England.
