ANNAPOLIS, MD - Severn Records announces a February 15, 2019, release date for Big Joe and the Dynaflows’s new album, Rockhouse Party, featuring acclaimed blues singer/drummer Big Joe Maher. With distribution by MRI/The Orchard/Sony, Rockhouse Party will be released on both CD and vinyl formats. The colorful album cover graphics were designed by Big Joe’s good friend, Marty Baumann, who works for Disney-Pixar Films.

Edgar Moreau performs two cello concertos which bravely and wittily challenge convention. Offenbach’s ambitious Grand Concerto in G major culminates in military fireworks, while Friedrich Gulda’s Concerto for Cello, Wind Orchestra and Band – written 130 years later – is a dazzling stylistic kaleidoscope. Moreau is joined by conductor Raphaël Merlin and the dynamic orchestral collective Les Forces Majeures.

A duo of pianists from the London Symphony Orchestra’s percussion ensemble present the world premiere recording of Roll Over Beethoven by John Adams.Roll Over Beethoven pays homage to the electric vitality of Beethoven’s intensely physical, expressive world, and takes fragments from his Diabelli Variations and the Piano Sonata Opus 110 and transforms them in the unique black box of Adams’ own musical language. In only twenty short minutes, Adams manages to generate an absorbing structure that, in his words, ‘takes these tiny musical fractals through a grand tour of a harmonic and rhythmic hall of mirrors.

Julie Fuchs releases her second album on Deutsche Grammophon, entitled ‘Mademoiselle.’ A collection of Bel canto arias.

Born in Esslingen in 1961 and rooted as a trombonist in the Swabian Musikverein (Esslingen / Liebersbronn), Eberhard Budziat was fully immersed in the groove of jazz during his studies in jazz and composition, as a versatile musician and composer Munich returned to its Swabian homeland. He lives since 8 years now with his wife in Korb in Remstal. During this time, he was inspired by his adopted home, the history and stories of the Remstals and the stories of the people living here. The result is the Remstalsinfonie. "Everybody needs a home. The Rembrandt Symphony expresses how I experience the region in which I have resided myself. "

This album, recorded in April of 2018 at The Bridge Studio in Glendale, California, was written for unique instrumentation combining woodwind sextet with string quartet and jazz rhythm section. In 'Visionary,' pianist and composer Daniel Szabo features an outstanding line-up of musicians and such as Peter Erskine, Sara Andon, Bob Sheppard, Kim Richmond and Edwin Livingston. Szabo composed, arranged and orchestrated all of the pieces and played the piano. The pieces were conducted by Timothy Williams. The style of this new repertoire shows a blend of jazz, classical and film music idioms, robustly American yet genetically Hungarian.

J.S. Ondara offers a unique take of the American dream on Tales of America, his debut album. Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, J.S. fell in love with Bob Dylan and moved to Minneapolis Minnesota when he was 20 to pursue a career as a singer-songwriter. He notes other musical influences as Neil Young, Noah Gundersen, Damien Rice and Ray LaMontagne. His debut album, Tales of America, is an examination of the American Dream from an outsider's perspective; an introspection on a universal matter.
