Of Corners & Bridges is the new album by New York musician Brian Jackson, released by Selo Sesc as a tribute to Milton Nascimento. A fan of the Brazilian artist since the 1970s, Jackson brought together Brazilian and international musicians to reinterpret 12 of Milton’s classics, such as “Travessia” (Bridges), “Viola Violar,” “Maria Maria,” “Fé Cega, Faca Amolada,” and “Caxangá.” Recorded in the same studio where Milton created much of his work, the album blends jazz, funk, soul, and experimental elements, featuring collaborations with artists like Georgia Anne Muldrow and Milton Nascimento himself. The cover art was created by Brazilian visual artists OSGEMEOS. The album celebrates Milton’s profound influence on global music, with Jackson expressing deep gratitude and affection for his transformative legacy.
