"American Epic" compilation series is a collection of releases of music associated with the film series "The American Epic", a historical documentaries are a journey back in time to the "Big Bang" of modern popular music.

Kiko is the ninth album by the Mexican American rock group Los Lobos. A year later, Los Lobos performed a spoof of their song "Kiko and the Lavender Moon" known as "Elmo and the Lavender Moon" on the PBS series Sesame Street.

Most bands who've soldiered on for as long as Los Lobos find that middle-age brings a laissez-faire bargain between fame and nostalgia that makes it all too easy to coast into the sunset comfortably seated on their laurels. It's easily their most adventuresome, category-confounding outing yet.

While lacking the commercial status of the quintet’s subsequent La Bamba release, By the Light of the Moon stands as the band’s most enjoyable excursion into American-hued soul, penetratingly reflective lyrics, and earnest roots rock. The music making is simply extraordinary.

This compilation features 40 remastered tracks of landmark performances from all four Crossroads Guitar Festivals, which were held in 2004, 2007, 2010 and 2013. "Dear Jerry: Celebrating The Music Of Jerry Garcia" was recorded live at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland in May 2015. This historic one-night event honoured Jerry Garcia, one of the most influential musicians and cultural icons of our time. Among the performers celebrating Garcia are Grateful Dead members Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, along with Eric Church, Jimmy Cliff, Peter Frampton, Jorma Kaukonen, Los Lobos, Grace Potter and several others.

Los Angeles based band, Los Lobos, have always been inspired by their surroundings and the place they call home. Their music is influenced by rock and roll, Tex-Mex, country, zydeco, folk, R&B, blues, brown-eyed soul, and traditional music such as cumbia, boleros and norteños.

The problem with the sizable majority of Christmas albums is they sound pretty much the same. Most yuletide records feature the same songs about Jesus or Santa that have been circulating for decades (if not centuries), and regardless of the genre, someone throws in sleigh bells or a "Ho Ho Ho" to remind you that yes, this is Christmas music.
