Honky Von Tonk, real name Manfred Greissel, was playing in a beer cellar in Wiesbaden, Germany, when well-known agent Derek Boulton decided that he was the kind of piano player he had always wanted to represent.

Although numbered as the composer’s fifth, the D minor symphony dates from 1813 and was his second symphony to be completed.

At the end of February 2022, at the beginning of the Russo-Ukrainian war, Sergey Akhunov begins composing an Adagio ‘Prayer for Peace’, echoing Samuel Barber's Adagio for strings. Articulated around the play of instrumental textures, the work is completed very quickly, and recorded by the OpensoundOrchestra, Stanislav Malyshev at the baton.

Viviane Goergen has not only made a name for herself with her recordings of Ernst Toch's piano works, among others, through far-sighted repertoire enrichment, but also with an interpretation concept that offered new approaches for interpreters as early as the 1980s through the use of meditation, autogenic and mental training, among other things, which also benefits her Schumann recording from 1988.

The Brecker Brothers, Michael and Randy, were one of the most successful of the jazz/fusion groups that arose in the 1970s, recording six bestselling albums for Arista between 1975 and 1981. For their acclaimed debut, the siblings recruited all-star players including David Sanborn, Chris Parker, Harvey Mason, Sr., Bob Mann, Ralph MacDonald, Don Grolnick and Will Lee. Latin Grammy Award-nominated Brazilian guitarist Ricardo Silveira has credits on hundreds of albums as musician, arranger, producer and/or musical director, while his solo career includes more than 10 recordings going back to 1984. Following an organ trio release in 2014, Silveira returns with Simbora, featuring a more traditional jazz trio consisting of double bassist Guto Wirtti and drummer Thiago "Big" Rabello.
