Both of these classic albums have been newly remastered for a three-CD collection packed with rare and unreleased music produced by Harris. Named after the Greek goddess of hunting and the wilderness, The Artemis Quartett was formed in 1989 in Lübeck, Germany. They are recognized for their chamber music repertoire, most notably Beethoven’s string quartets and are considered to be one of the foremost string quartets in the world. Originally founded by four students of chamber music at Lübeck Conservatory, they came to international prominence when they won first prize at the ARD Wettbewerb in 1996, followed by another first prize at the Premio Borciani six months later. They were invited to the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin, where they were able to expand their musical studies. In 1999, the Artemis Quartett made their debut at the Berlin Philharmonie, which led to the ensemble performing at international festivals all over the world. As the years progressed, the members of the quartet would change, but their performances and recordings continued to enchant critics and music lovers alike. The Artemis Quartett has performed with a variety of artists including Sabine Meyer, Elisabeth Leonskaya, Juliane Banse and Jörg Widmann. The Artemis Quartett’s recorded output includes releases such as Mozart: Flötenquartette (1997), Wolf, Zemlinsky, Webern & Berg: Streichquartett (1997), Beethoven: String Quartets Op. 95 & 59/1 (2005), Verklärte Nacht (2006), and Shostakovich (2019). The quartet has received many awards and accolades over the years including winning the Echo Klassik, Gramophone Award and the Diapason d’or for some of their recorded works.

'Happy Apples’ presents a collection of improvised duo exchanges between legendary free jazz vocalist Julie Tippetts, whose spell-binding vocals intermingle perfectly with saxophonist Kevin Figes’ atmospheric playing. Both musicians supplement the recording with an array of percussive devices, including the quirky tinkling 1970s toy that lends the album its name. The epic opening track “The Third Harmony” sets the mood for the recording as Tippetts displays a dazzling array of vocal techniques throughout, with Figes switching to flute and percussion accompaniment. Other tracks involve strange sounds - a crackling transistor radio, squeaking plastic chicken and toy duck that complement the traditional instruments and Julie’s voice, which is the most powerful and striking of them all.

Skeletons from the Closet: The Best of Grateful Dead is the first compilation album from rock band the Grateful Dead. It was originally released in February 1974. As with other such packages, the album was a way for Warner Bros. Records to capitalize on the Dead's back catalog after the band had left the label. It was followed three years later by a second compilation, What a Long Strange Trip It's Been.

This is a wonderful, warm-hearted, and effortlessly virtuosic live recording by one of the finest living exponents of pre-bop small-ensemble jazz. With pianist Ray Kennedy and bassist Martin Pizzarelli (and on two songs joined by vocalist Grover Kemble), singer and guitarist John Pizzarelli runs through a generally lightweight but thoroughly charming set of standards, homages, funny stories, and the occasional original tune; the fast tunes are light and frothy, the ballads smooth and gentle, and even the moments that are less than utterly inspired work together with the album's highlights to create a very satisfying whole.
