The quartet as a complete ideal, carried by personal writing and resolutely collective playing, two primary ideas proposed again to a post-pandemic world, its uncertainties, its violence, and despite everything perhaps also its promises. The story actually began during the very first moments of newfound freedom following the first confinement, where Pierre de Bethmann and Antoine Paganoo rediscovered each other as neighbors over the course of multiple duo sessions. It continued with a feeling of obviousness by associating Simon Tailleu, pillar of the Medium Ensemble, and David El Malek, a major meeting of the ilium years, whose tenor saxophone playing has now established itself as one of the strongest voices of the contemporary European jazz.

An atypical trio, trumpet-bass-drums, led by the excellent Quentin Ghomari, who crossed paths with Papanosh, Ping Machine, Big Four or the Orchestre National de Jazz (National Jazz Orchester).
