March 8 is International Women's Day, and to mark the occasion, we're is holding our third annual Women of Jazz Fest! To accompany this on-air celebration, ABC Jazz has also released a compilation of new recordings by some of the most influential composers and performers from the Australian scene.

The collection showcases both emerging and established artists, in sessions from up and down the east coast. Many of the tracks on this album were directly commissioned by the ABC through the ABC Jazz Composer Commission program, which continues to provide opportunities for emerging and diverse artists from across the country.
