Simon S. Furnes is a guitarist and composer from Alversund, north of Bergen (Norway). In the spring of 2025 he completed his master's degree in rhythmic performing music at the University of Agder, Faculty of Fine Arts.
After primarily working as a freelance musician, Simon felt a need to express himself through his own compositions. He is now ready to share his debut album: Birds of Passage. The album was recorded at Rainbow Studio with Hildegunn Øiseth on trumpet and goat horn, Mats Eilertsen on double bass, Karl Oluf Wennerberg on drums and Simon S. Furnes on guitar. Birds of Passage was recorded and mixed by Martin Abrahamsen.
