Second album from London based double bass player and composer Mark Rose, featuring Mike Outram, Chris Nickolls, Sam Leak and Sara Dowling. Mark re-imagines off-the-beaten-track Americana and Folk-Rock classics, exploring the modal sound-world and shifting rhythmic patterns he has nestled these melodies within. Mark puts his bass playing centre stage whilst providing his band with expansive arrangements in which to shine. The album's themes of isolation, loneliness, longing, mystery, new beginnings, home and ultimately love, culminate in Mark's reworking of Tom Waits' House Where Nobody Lives, magically made her own by vocalist Sara Dowling.
