“It was the last gig of the whole rollout, and it was the best gig we played. I’m gonna be honest — it’s not like I planned for months to record this night either. I knew in the back of my mind I wanted to do it, but I didn’t know if it’d be possible. The day of, I saw the room — I’d been there before — I spoke to the sound guy and I asked him if he had the capability of recording it multi-track, and he was like, ‘yeah.’ So the other musicians, I hadn’t been telling them forever that we were gonna record. So the pressure wasn’t on.”
