Many are, in fact, the albums imagined and recorded during or after the different periods of confinement that we have all gone through. Although not recognized as essential by the accounting bureaucracy and health authorities, music (like any form of creation) is nonetheless a vital necessity for the artists themselves and a powerful breath of fresh air. for their audiences.

Henri Texier gives us further proof of this with Heteroklite Lockdown, an album which, as its title suggests, is in a way the child of the long isolation of spring 2020 . It turns out that at that time, the double bassist was confined to his home, somewhere in the countryside in the Paris region, very close to his saxophonist son Sébastien Texier, who has also been a member of his various formations for about 25 years now. Both decided to “take advantage” of the confinement to work together, without necessarily thinking of a recording from the outset. Just to continue to vibrate the chord of this music which inhabits them and which is their reason for living, without any particular pressure: "In the beginning, it was just that: a somewhat instinctive gesture of survival, a direct and spontaneous response to the necessity in which we found ourselves not to let the music escape! ".
