“With Badeep we were inspired by the idea of taking the listener on a journey. From where the track starts with the synth pattern and then develops into a series of different musical themes which almost feel quite unrelated and complex at times, but by the end, the way that it all connects together makes sense. The track ends with the same synth pattern that it starts with giving a sense of familiarity but also different at the same time. This concept was partly inspired by a passage from T.S. Elliot’s Four Quartets: ‘And the end of all our exploring Will be to arrive where we started And know the place for the first time.'”
