A rare opportunity to create the album arose during Chadbourne's 2022 visit to New York City - This led to a fortunate recording session where nothing was planned and everything was recorded without amps, making each listening experience as pristine as if it were the first time the album has ever been played through speakers. Maoz has long been a fan of Chadbourne, admiring his direct, no-consequences approach to creating sound. Eyal is experimenting here with a partly new set of pedals, while Eugene gives us an old-school lesson in genius through the simplicity of it all, using mostly hands and sticks. At times, a vague sense of a constant beat is present, making this the go-to album for those seeking easy listening insanity. This is the first recording of two outstanding improvising musicians streaming their unconsciousness while caressing (and at times bashing) their guitars.
