Knowing how to design an accessible website is an essential skill for modern-day developers. This course dispels the mystery of web accessibility, demonstrates why accessibility matters, and shows you how to get started assessing, testing, triaging, and improving website accessibility.
Join instructor Donia Robinson as she provides an overview of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), part of a series of web accessibility guidelines published by the Web Accessibility Initiative of the World Wide Web Consortium. Discover commonly used accessibility tools designed for both manual and automated testing, as well as how to test and triage accessibility issues related to compliance and conformance goals. By the end of this course, you’ll be prepared to repair and test accessibility issues wherever they arise, retesting as needed for additional improvements.
