Description

Not everyone knows that, while meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary, we focus on spiritual concepts such as hope, joy, pain, and eternity. Pray together for all your needs, and the needs of our world. Learn about the history and promises of the Catholic Rosary. Pray along with the speaker the Rosary for each day of the week. Lectio Divina is contemplation of sacred word, and Visio Divina is contemplation of sacred image. The Rosary, though clearly Marian in character, is at heart a Christocentric prayer.

The Rosary, precisely because it starts with Mary's own experience, is an exquisitely contemplative prayer. Without this contemplative dimension, it would lose its meaning, as Pope Paul VI clearly pointed out: “Without contemplation, the Rosary is a body without a soul, and its recitation runs the risk of becoming a mechanical repetition of formulas, in violation of the admonition of Christ: 'In praying do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do; for they think they will be heard for their many words' (Mt 6:7). (Apostolic Letter “Rosarium Virginis Mariae” of the Supreme Pontiff John Paul II chapter 1: 12).

Fatima Message: Pray the Rosary every day in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary to obtain peace in the world . . . for she alone can save it.“ (Our Lady, July 13, 1917)

The Rosary is an echo of the prayer of Mary, her perennial Magnificat for the work of the redemptive Incarnation which began in her virginal womb. With the Rosary, the Christian sits at the school of Mary and is led to contemplate the beauty on the face of Christ and to experience the depths of his love. Through the Rosary the faithful receive abundant grace
