LANGUAGE: PORTUGUESE!!! BOOK FROM BRAZIL For 'Novo Avenida Brasil' the well-known and proven course 'Avenida Brasil' has been completely revised and restructured. The resulting new 3-volume course 'Novo Avenida Brasil' is oriented towards the learning objectives of the Common European Framework and puts the main emphasis on life skills. The clear unit structure of 'Avenida Brasil' has been maintained in the revised edition, the introductory pages of the units, introducing the prevailing subject, give a good overview of the learning objectives. The text- and workbooks have 6 units each and one repetition unit. Naturally, 'Novo Avenida Brasil' is in accordance with the new spelling regulations (according to the Agreement about the standardisation of spelling in the Portuguese speaking countries from 2008). 'Novo Avenida Brasil' gives language and intercultural skills, that are important for living in Brasil. Within a short space of time, learners are enabled to use the Portuguese language actively and independently. Thanks to its subjects the first volume is suitable also for tourist courses. A presente edição é uma versão atualizada do método Avenida Brasil - Curso básico de Português para estrangeiros. As grandes modificações que o mundo viveu ao longo dos anos desde a primeira publicação de Avenida Brasil, bem como as alterações que o cenário dos estudos linguísticos sofreu obrigaram-nos a repensar e a reorganizar a obra. A grande modificação é a nova distribuição do material, levando o aluno do patamar inicial de conhecimento ao final do nível intermediário. Para colocar nosso material mais próximo das diretrizes do Quadro Europeu Comum de Referência (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), decidimos reparti-lo em 3 níveis, correspondentes a A1 (Volume 1), A2 (Volume 2) e B1+ (Volume 3).
