The first chapter of the book describes the aircraft service in the US Navy and US Marine Corps. Avengers were also flown in other countries air forces: Great Britain and New Zealand. After the II WW they did not disappeared from the skies - they were given various jobs in the USA, Canada, France, Holland, Japan, Great Britain and Uruguay. The last chapter, extensively illustrated with photos of airplane details, describes Avenger construction. Scale plans and colour plates are also included. 233 b&w photos, 20 colour photos, 13 colour plates incl. cover, 14 pages of scale plans, 6 drawings, 4 tables. Polish text with English photo captions.
