Description
Master Zuken E3 Formboard 2D Wire Harness Design – From Basics to Advanced
This course is a complete, hands-on guide to designing professional wire harnesses using Zuken E3 Formboard. Whether you are a beginner exploring the software for the first time or an experienced engineer looking to refine your skills, you’ll learn step-by-step how to create, route, and optimize 2D harness designs for real-world applications across multiple industries.
We begin with the fundamentals — creating connectors, symbols, and reusable templates — before moving into layout preparation, component placement, and structured wire routing. You will then progress to advanced techniques such as multi-core and twisted pair cable routing, applying cable protection with braiding, loom, conduit, and PVC tubes, and customizing wire colors, gauges (AWG), IDs, and connector details to match project requirements.
Practical demonstrations in each lesson show how these methods are applied in automotive, aerospace, heavy machinery, and industrial equipment projects. You’ll also master editing and optimizing designs by modifying terminals, pins, and tables to meet professional documentation and manufacturing standards.
By the end of this course, you’ll have the confidence and skill to produce accurate, industry-ready harness drawings in Zuken E3 Formboard — saving time, improving design quality, and delivering results that meet global engineering standards.
