Description
OSINT, or Open-Source Intelligence, refers to the collection, analysis, and dissemination of information that is publicly available on the internet. It involves using a variety of tools and techniques to gather and analyze data from different sources, with the aim of gaining insights and intelligence that can be used to support decision-making, investigations, and other activities.
In this course, students will learn about the different tools and techniques used in OSINT, including Maltego, SpiderFoot, research engine OSINT, reverse image search, hunting breached passwords and data, email address OSINT, geolocation OSINT, and using NMAP.
Maltego is a popular OSINT tool that enables users to gather information about a target by visualizing the relationships between different pieces of data. SpiderFoot is another tool that automates the OSINT process, allowing users to quickly gather information from multiple sources.
Research engine OSINT involves using search engines to gather information about a target. Reverse image search is a technique used to identify the source of an image by searching for similar images on the internet. Hunting breached passwords and data involves searching for passwords and data that have been leaked or stolen in data breaches, in order to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
Email address OSINT involves using various techniques to gather information about a target based on their email address, such as identifying the owner of the email address, the email provider, and any associated accounts. Geolocation OSINT involves using geolocation data to gather information about a target, such as their location and movements.
In addition to the hands-on experience using OSINT tools and techniques, this course will also provide students with access to a wealth of OSINT resources.
