We will explore Modern Portfolio Theory (MPT) to understand the optimal mix of assets. We will emphasise a few asset classes such as Bonds / Fixed Income investments as well as exploring Alternatives like Hedge Funds and Options. Lastly, we will cover the basics of trading to equip you with fundamental knowledge for navigating the financial markets.a. Modern Portfolio Theory: Portfolio theory is a key topic in this Section 4, emphasizing the diversification of investments.b. Focus on Bonds / Fixed Income: Fixed Income primarily consists of Bonds, Loans and Cash. In this sub-Lecture, we will examine the mechanics of debt financing and the risks for family offices.c.
