    Description
Welcome to Excel Fundamentals for Healthcare!

This course was created to improve your ability to work in healthcare and use Excel to analyze data from your EMR or EHR. It is also designed to show you how to use Excel to manage projects.

It is intended to give you a solid foundation of the basics of Excel, while also introducing you to advanced Excel functions that are powerful for providing in-depth insights into your healthcare organization's data.

This course purposely DOES NOT last hours and hours, teaching every single function Excel has or going in-depth into functions you would be unlikely to encounter on a regular basis.

It DOES focus on being concise and teaching the most important, high-impact Excel functions and techniques YOU NEED for your healthcare job.

This is the only course on Udemy to teach from simulated, realistic EMR data!

The simulated EMR data set used in this course contains 1000 rows, with two tabs representing two different sample reports that might come out of an EMR system, so you get practice working with data that will look very similar to your organization's.

This course is divided into the following sections

Excel fundamentals: Here, we'll start from zero and go through formatting, the basics of formulas, and some of the most useful yet simple formulas in Excel that I used on a near-daily basis in my role as a healthcare project manager and data analyst.

Advanced functions: Now the fun begins as we delve into more advanced functions that unlock your ability to really delve into the data. Learn how to effectively use the MATCH function to compare two data sets, how to use visuals to win over your audience at the next presentation, and more!

Putting it all together - Data Analysis: In this section, I'll use our data sets so you can see, in realtime, how to use what you've just learned to gain new insights into over 1000 rows of data!

Putting it all together - Project Management: Finally, we'll start with a blank Excel file and use what we've learned to create a beautiful project management tool so you can keep your next initiative on track!
