Description
What we believe about our beginnings shapes everything else—our view of God, morality, purpose, even prophecy. In this class, we take a deep dive into the doctrine of creation from a Seventh-day Adventist perspective, tracing its biblical roots, theological implications, and relevance in today’s skeptical, science-dominated culture.
This course is the third in a Bible Doctrines series. Email support@stevehicksandassociates.com for information about the rest of the series.
We begin by exploring what the Bible actually says in Genesis 1 and 2, why the six-day creation matters, and how this doctrine ties directly into other major truths like the Sabbath, salvation, and the character of God. You'll learn why the story of creation is not just a children's tale—but the foundation of a biblical worldview that withstands pressure from evolutionary theory and secular models of history.
You’ll also be invited into a bonus discussion segment calledTough Questions, where we confront common objections to creation: What about dinosaurs? How do we explain carbon dating? Doesn’t evolution explain life better? These sessions are honest, respectful, and designed to strengthen your faith through dialogue, not dogma.
This course is for believers, skeptics, and anyone in between. Whether you’re new to the Bible or a lifelong student, you’ll leave with deeper conviction, sharper reasoning, and a firmer grasp of truth.
Who this course is for:
- Curious Christians exploring the creation vs. evolution debate
- Homeschoolers and church educators teaching origins biblically
- Truth-seekers skeptical of Darwinian explanations
- New or returning Adventists wanting foundational doctrine
