Description
This training course is for all levels from all industries and government and non governmental organisations who want to learn about climate scenario analysis.   As you may be aware from the extensive media coverage, everyone on planet Earth will be affected in some way by the impact of global warming.  The policy makers in most countries in the world have signed up to commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and all government and non-government owned companies in these jurisdictions must reduce their emissions in accordance with newly enacted laws.  In order to encourage these actions various non-governmental organisations have voluntarily issued guidance on how companies can assess the risks and opportunities of the transition to a planet with less emissions and the purpose of this training course is to explain this current guidance.  Climate Scenario Analysis is an important requirement for all companies, public or private, to perform. It must be forward looking and driven by the very top of the organisation from the executive board level down into the organisations.  It is so important to many companies that it will shape their future direction and organisation.  This training course will equip you with the knowledge of best and emerging best practices to better engage with your peers, team and your hierarchy to contribute to your firms climate scenario analysis work.  As climate scenario analysis will become a compulsory part of the financial and regulatory disclosures for all firms this is a timely course to improve your knowledge.

We will start off with a definition of scenario analysis then explain the developments both internationally and locally in Europe and the UK on this important topic.  We will then review the progress made in the financial services and energy sectors with four case studies.
The final part will explain how to implement scenario analysis.
