Description
This course explains everything about each single actuator on automotive engines.
We have covered everything you need to test and diagnose the actuators, this includes:
- Identifying the actuators and their locations
- Understanding how each actuator works
- Understanding theactuators wiring and diagram, and how to identify each wire on them.
- Testing each actuator with amultimeter.
- Using ascan toolto read the live data in order to diagnose the actuators.
- Using anoscilloscope to read and analyze the waveforms on actuatorsand diagnose them using the waveform.
There are many practical activities in this course. So, after understanding the actuators operation, we locate and check each one on the car, and on each step, we use the wiring diagrams for that exact car, to practice how to use the diagrams for diagnosing a car.
We also use different type of tools and equipment including multimeter, oscilloscope and scan tool.
Here is a list of actuators that we have covered:
- Throttle Body Actuator
- Variable Intake Manifold System
- Variable Valve Timing (Including the VVT Phaser & Solenoid Valves)
- Purge Control Solenoid Valve
- Ignition Coil Packs (Wasted Spark)
- Coil on Plug with Two Wires
- Coil on Plug with Three Wires
- Coil on Plug with Four Wires (Smart Ignition Coils)
- Port Injectors
- GDI Injectors
- GDI High Pressure Pump
- GDI Fuel Pressure Control Valve
- Idle Air Control Valve
