The MP5-K workshop covers Shadowbox, Clip Brushes, Spotlight, Remesh, Mesh Extraction, 3D Primitives, Project All, and much more. The goal is to master hard surface sculpting in ZBrush and we provide several production quality workflows that will get you started right away.

    About ZBrushWorkshops

ZBrushWorkshops is a new digital sculpting studio founded by Ryan Kingslien. Ryan trained as a traditional artist at the Pennslyvannia Academy of Fine Art and as a digital artist at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects. Ryan was the very first Product Manager for ZBrush at Pixologic. During this time he developed the curriculum that is now the standard in schools across the globe and consulted with companies such as ILM, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Bungie Studios, Ubisoft and Electronic Arts to integrate digital sculpting into their production pipelines. To put it another way, Ryan's the guy who put the Rake brush in ZBrush.

At ZBrushWorkshops, our goal is to combine traditional artistic principles with practical digital sculpting workflows and train artists for the game and film industry. Learning ZBrush is more than learning what buttons to push. Learning ZBrush is learning how to sculpt.

    Overview

Hard surface sculpting is something we usually go to another application for but not any more. This new Sculpting the MP5K workshop illustrates my new "Death to Box Modeling" workflow that keeps you sculpting in ZBrush longer.

You probably know from experience. Just opening up Maya or Max can add hours to your work day. If you could spend more time in ZBrush and still get the same quality of form and same level of control then you'd do it right? You'd stay in ZBrush and just keep sculpting all day long.

That's what this workshop does. It shows you all the tricks and workflows that you need to know to level up your ZBrush experience and further your mastery of this amazing application.
In this workshop, I show you how I use workflows and simple lessons I picked up in foundation drawing courses to quickly and easily create hard surface forms.
In fact, I walk you through each step so that you are never lost or left wondering how I did something.
If you ever do get lost then its as simple as leaving a comment on the lecture and I'll get back to you right away.

This workshop was key to helping me create more complex characters and the tools and features I show are the same ones used in production every day and now they are available for you. Just make sure to add the workshop to your cart and signup today.

To give you a bit more information, I've listed the chapters below. There are 20 chapters and almost 5 hours of content. That might seem like a lot but don't worry. Everything is broken down into simple 10 to 15 minute sections to make it easier to digest.
