Description
Hey guys, this is OJ from the King OJ Music Library, aka "The Music Guy". In this course, I will be using Logic Pro X 10.4.7 to teach bare bones basic music theory to home-based musicians with no instrument knowledge or proficiency. You will see a beat I kinda just made on the fly as a visual representation of every single term I put on the slide show.

Some of the terms covered are just basics like 'note', 'scale', 'chord', 'meter', 'rhythm', etc. Nothing too complex like counterpoint and all that jazz. Trust me, this will help you to understand how the core techniques work together to make basic songs. That way, you won't just be blindly just putting together notes on the piano roll or trying to guess about melody, rhythm, etc.

You don't even have to be college educated for this course, but some beatmaking experience is definitely recommended. This is the first in a series of courses that will teach you how to make a variety of genres and similar-sounding songs without copying the actual arrangement.

While I don't agree with the term 'bedroom producers', this course will empower those who have been written off as "not real musicians" to make their songs better and collaborate with other more formally trained musicians.

Who this course is for
Musicians who identify as "bedroom" or electronic producers who want to understand the basic theoretical aspect of music to make their songs better
