Watercolor Mosaic Abstracts - Getting Creative With Watercolor And Marks

Hello, my friend! Welcome to class.

In this class, we are going to layer watercolor, texture, and patterns to create these beautiful mosaic-inspired pieces. I love experimenting with color and pattern and know you will love this too. This is such a fun way to experiment with colors and try out different mark-making techniques. I think these look a bit like ceramic mosaic pieces or even stained glass pieces and that is what inspired this technique.

We'll start out in our sketchbooks to get started and create ourselves a small reference library of color. Then we'll move on to a small mosaic piece in our sketchbooks and finish off with a large mosaic abstract piece ready to frame.

Supplies: I encourage you to use the supplies you have on hand to do your projects. You do not have to purchase any specific supplies for this class. It is all about experimenting with the supplies you have and learning to let loose.
