Description
This is a beginner's course to learn and understand more about social media addiction. Social Media is part of so many people’s day-to-day routines and interactions that its’ constant usage often goes unnoticed. The habitual and problematic behavior associated with Social Media Addiction is a behavior that often goes unnoticed simply because of how enmeshed it is within so many of our daily lives. We often see where commonality creates the illusion of normalcy. Just because the habitual behavior of Social Media Addiction is common does not make it normal or healthy. Social Media oftentimes takes the place of self-care practices for some people and therefore leaves them in a deteriorating position.In this course, you will learn all about social media addiction, how to spot it, and what you can do to reduce your own behaviors that are associated with social media addiction. The primary goal of this course is to bring awareness to the growing population affected by social media addiction and to reduce these effects through mindfulness and positive psychology. Awareness of social media addiction includes understanding what social media addiction is, its symptoms, and its products. Programs tailored toward different types of addictions have been popularized and have a successful history of treating addictive behaviors, symptoms, and outcomes.
